Providing community support

At Stevens & Co., we feel very fortunate to be able to call Missoula, Montana our home. We’ve been a part of this community for over 40 years now, and it’s always been important to us to give back. We’re also proud to support Montana businesses whenever possible. We are proud to be a part of this community and will continue to support it in any way we can. Thank you for your continued support of Stevens & Co.!

Giving Back to the Community

Stevens & Co. values the Missoula community and the State of Montana. We feel honored to support numerous organizations in Montana. Whether through monetary donations, pro bono work, or simply giving our time, we feel it’s important to support the organizations that make Missoula such a great place to live.

Day of Action

On June 24, 2022, Stevens & Co. participated in United Way’s Day of Action. Day of Action is a community wide day of hands-on volunteering. United Way of Missoula County connects volunteers from businesses with local nonprofit organizations and our own programs to complete various projects, such as painting, clean-up, yard work, etc.

United Way Day of Action demonstrates how volunteerism is vital to our community.  It empowers people to work together to address some of the community’s most urgent needs.  The event provides a firsthand look at the services offered in our community. The hands-on volunteer experiences provide excellent opportunities for employee team building.  It also spotlights United Way of Missoula County’s role in bringing volunteers together to advance the common good for all.  Volunteer teams from local businesses that wish to participate in the Day of Action will be matched with projects submitted by our nonprofit partners.

This year, Stevens & Co. worked in the dirt to help grow healthy produce for Missoulians at Garden City Harvest’s River Road Farm. Stevens & Co. worked at the Farm with employees from Providence, as well as two Fulbright Scholars from Africa. We weeded numerous garden beds & helped clear beds for new planting. We also learned about the impactful work that Garden City Harvest is doing to strengthen our community & ensure that every Missoulian has access to healthy, affordable produce through their numerous neighborhood farms, community gardens, and school gardens.

United Way of Missoula County

We believe this organization is doing important work in our community and want to share more about this organization. Below is a short summary of the work that United Way is doing in our community.

United Way of Missoula County improves lives and strengthens our community by harnessing the power of collective giving to create lasting improvements in education, health and financial stability.  UW provides a platform for community members to give, advocate and volunteer. Our collective focus on the big picture advances education, health and financial stability—the building blocks for a good quality of life and a robust community. This collective-impact approach is a wise investment for donors and is transformative for the community.
